About Us
Mr. George A. Stephenson was the founder of the firm in 1940. C. Kenneth Anderson was Mr. Stephenson’s successor, and the firm’s name changed from G. A. Stephenson & Co. to Stephenson & Anderson, to Anderson & Stephenson, to Anderson & Larkin, and finally, on July 1, 1979, to Anderson, Larkin & Co. P.C.
On September 1, 1985, the firm of Zimmerman and Stanek, Certified Public Accountants, joined Anderson, Larkin & Co. P.C. This move united two of the oldest certified public accounting firms in Iowa and also brought Thomas Stanek to our firm. Thomas Stanek was employed by the firm until his retirement and he was a key employee. Joseph C. Larkin was associated with the firm for thirty years and was instrumental in its continued growth. The solid foundation he laid has enabled the firm to continue with its goal of providing personalized professional accounting, auditing, consulting and tax services using a common-sense approach. Currently the two majority shareholders are Kenneth Crosser who became a partner in 1995 and April Crosser who became a partner in 2003.
